    Adam studied for a degree in Sport Science and Management whilst training for Athletics, Cross Country and Triathlon in Loughborough where he also gained experience of coaching the University Triathlon club. He has past experience in Sports Partnerships where he has coached a variety of sports including Athletics, Cross Country, Sports Hall Athletics, Basketball, Football, Hockey, and Multi Skills. Adam also has experience of working with the English Institute of Sport at Loughborough, working with International athletes to develop their strength and conditioning programme. In 1999 Adam started Southend High School for Boys where he became part of the Cross Country, Athletics, Football, Basketball and Swimming teams. In his first year at Southend High at the age of 11 he won his first National Cross Country title and during his time representing the school at Cross Country he was undefeated at all of the English Schools Cross Country Cup competitions at Borough, Regional and National final level – a record that can never be broken, only equalled! Since then Adam has gone on to represent England and Great Britain for Cross Country and Triathlon in European and World Championships all over the world including Kenya and Japan. During his first few months with the Southend West Sports Partnership, Adam played an active role in the Southend Primary School Sports Association Torch Relay, the Eastwood Athletics 4 All club, the Eastwood Academy Athletics Team and the School Run initiative, as well as coaching a variety of sports in local schools and helping to organise many of the Borough's competitions. During the 2012 summer holidays, Adam managed to achieve personal bests in the 1500m (3:49:01), 3000m (8:10:22) and 5000m (13:59:22) winning the Essex Senior 1500m and 5000m and placing himself 16th in Britain for the 5000m. During the 2013 summer holidays, Adam bettered his PBs in 1500m (3:47:54), 3000m (8:08:57) and 5000m (13:41:66) with his 5000m time ranking him 8th in the Country.
