About the club

Once you join Southend-on-Sea Athletic Club you are free to use any of the track and field facilities under supervision from the coach of that area (depending on your age). Facilities available: 

8 Lane 100m Straight 

8 Lane Running Track - 400m Fully Floodlit

Steeplechase Barriers + (W/J)

Long Jump pits x 4

Triple Jump pits x 2

Pole Vault Due to the time taken to set out the Pole Vault, it is not always available all year round(not always available) x 2

Shot Putt x 1

Javelin Runway x 2

High Jump x 1

Hammer & Discus Cage x 1

Facilities in the Leisure Centre - Male and Female Toilets, Changing and Showers

Training for the club depends on your coach. The track is only booked for SAC members on:

Dodgeball Day

Over 260 children came together to play dodgeball at Garons. Year 5 & 6 pupils from across the Borough enjoyed a day of dodgeball. The game consists of two teams try to throw balls at each other while avoiding being hit themselves.
