Competition / Festivals

The competition structure for the Southend West School Sports Partnership is bigger and better than ever this year. Partnership competitions will include Cross Country, Sportshall Athletics, Table Tennis. This year the Football and Tag Rugby competitions will be partnership-based, with the West Partnership winners taking on the East Partnership winners in the Borough Finals!

We will also be working closely with the East partnership to provide further competitions in Basketball, Hockey, Cheerleading, Aquathlon, Orienteering, Tri-Golf, Rounders and Kwik Cricket. This is all in addition to the Borough Sports Athletics and Borough Swimming.

There will also be a comprehensive structure of smaller, family-based festivals in the West Partnership. These will mostly be participation events encouraging an even wider range of pupils into sport. There will be some cross-family events which could also be used as warm-up events or B-team events. PLT's will liaise with SSCo's to discuss and deliver the opportunities that the pupils want.

For any competition issues, please contact Tracy Bennett (Competition Manager) or Sharon Garrard/Hayley Pegg (SSCo's -responsible for competition).

Good luck to the whole Southend West Partnership, have a great year!
