Description

12 pupils per Year Group Squad; 6 boys and 6 girls.

Schools do not need to fill all year groups or genders to enter.

Therefore, schools may enter just 6 boys or 6 girls but will not qualify for the team points competition.

Year 1 = approx 600m

Year 2 = approx 800m

Please note the above distances are approximate.

In each race there will be a ‘hare’ at the front and the back of the competing group to guide the way and support those at the rear.Your students will be given finishing tickets as they exit the funnel.

Please ensure these numbers are placed in the corresponding envelope, your students names are written clearly and the envelope is returned to the recording desk as soon as possible.Any child seen to actively overtake in the funnel will be disqualified.It is the responsibility of schools to take responsibility for the following:

• All parents/spectators to remain in the designated viewing area at all times.

• No parents/spectators are to run/pace their child at any time.

• No parents/spectators are to wait at the course finish line.

• All parents/spectators are to adhere to the Code of Conduct distributed to all schools.

• All parents/spectators must be identified by wearing an appropriate label, which must clearly display the surname of the parent and the school they are supporting.

• Should any parent/spectator fail to adhere to the above, their child’s whole team will be disqualified.It is the responsibility of schools to ensure that all their pupils are safely returned to school or collected by a parent.If a school enters more than one team in a year group, they both teams must be clearly identified as different.
