TEAM SIZE - 20 (10 Boys & 10 Girls)Track EventsEvent: Obstacle Relay

• Start with a forward roll (or sideways roll if less agile)

• Hi Stepper – 1 foot in every space (0.5 seconds added for each space missed)

• 10 speed bounces (0.5 seconds added for each bounce missed)

• Clear 2 hurdles

• Turn on turn board

• Sprint back avoiding obstacles

• Turn on returnboard

• Touch shoulder of next runner for takeover (1 second penalty if not touched correctly)

• Last runner repeats the activity but after turning on the returnboard, sprints through the finish line.Event: Low Hurdles

• Start with hand on the returnboard

• Sprint over the 5 hurdles

• Turn on turn board

• Run through LineEvent: 6 Lap Paarlauf

• Complete 6 Laps in your pair as quickly as possible in your chosen ordere.g. Runner 1 – Lap 1,3,5 Runner 2 – Lap 2,4,6or Runner 1 (stronger) – Lap 1,2,4,5 Runner 2 – Lap 3,6Event: Over/Under Relay

• Repeat course in opposite direction

• Tap next runner on the shoulder

• Start at finish line

• Turn on the turn board

• Sprint to returnboard

• Turn on returnboard

• Sprint to next team member

• Last runner sprints through the finish lineField EventsEvent: Chest Push• The ball is held against the chest with two hands

• It must be pushed

• Both feet must remain on the floor at all times

• One foot may be in front of the other but your body must be stationary

• Do not pass the throwing line during the throw

• Measure from the point the ball touches the ball to the throwing line

• The chest must face forward at all times

• Each participant will have 3 attempts and their longest throw will be their final scoreJUDGES: 1 standing at side of area observing distance with start of tape measure1 standing at throwing line, calling peoples names to throw, measuring distance and recording1 returning the ball (by rolling)Event: Speed Bounce• Allow a trial before first jump starts

• Each participant must complete as many bounces either side of the wedge in 30 seconds

• Each participant will have 3 attempts and their highest number of bounces will be their final score

• Both feet must touch each side of the mat for the bounce to count

• The bounce is void if the participant lands on the wedge, they should be encouraged to restart as soon as possible

• 2 competitors (same school) will jump at a time

JUDGES: 1 central timing the children 1 counting per child (2 judges)1 recording Event: Standing Long Jump

• Two footed jump from take off line from standing position

• Measure from the take off line to where the back of the closest heel to the take off line landed

• The participant may step forward after the jump, but if he/she falls back, the measurement is taken at the body part closest to the take off line

• Encourage participants to bend their knees and swing their arms for lift

JUDGES: 1 at side of the tape accurately measuring the jump1 recording results and calling namesEvent: Standing Triple Jump• From standing position with the lead leg up to the take off line

• Stand on one foot to begin with to ensure a hop starts the routine

• Hop• Step to the other foot

• jump from one foot to two feet

• Measure from the take off line to where the back of the closest heel to the take off line landed

• The participant may step forward after the jump, but if he/she falls back, the measurement is taken at the body part closest to the take off line

• Encourage participants to bend their knees and swing their arms for liftJUDGES: 1 at side of the tape accurately measuring the jump1 recording results and calling namesEvent: Vertical Jump

• Participant stands with their back, head and heels touching the wall

• Both arms stretched upwards to push the scale up with the fingertips

• Arms must be straight and touch the side of the head and feet must be flat on the floo

r• This measurement needs to be marked down

• The participant then jumps from the standing position, touching the wall at the highest point

• The measurement is recorded to the nearest centimetre

• Subtract this distance from the original to find jumpe.g. original position 1m 65cmjumps 2m 05cmactual jump 40cm

JUDGES: 1 recording results and calling names1 measuring the distancesNB If there are no vertical jump boards, hold the tape measure at the start to the floor and pull upwards.
