Southend Schools show off their moves

On Friday 24th February schools from both Southend partnerships came together to produce some show stopping dance routines. Both the morning and afternoon sessions started with a mass warm-up with SSCo's, Leo the lion and teachers joining in to create the amusement for the day.

All types of dance were produced using well known songs such as 'Boogie Wonderland' to recent chart toppers Maroon 5 'Moves like jagger'. The day was enjoyed by all and the standard of dances were breathtaking; especially 'Cotton Eye Joe' by the St Nicholas School.

23 schools performed in the morning and 18 in the afternoon including Cecil Jones and Shoeburyness High School.

Well done to all schools that took part, we are already looking forward to next year.
