Well done to all schools that competed in the Essex KS2 Cross Country Finals at Garon Park, Southend. It really was Cross Country weather and all those who participated should be very proud in participating.
We were delighted to see so many young people running with such determination and commitment to succeed. The Southend West Schools Sports Partnership were amazed at the camaraderie between everyone. It was lovely to see so many children supporting one another in the cold and wet.
There were some exceptional performances despite the bitter cold and chilly winds. Individual and team winners came from all over the county.
