Yr 5 & 6 students make a splash at Aquathlon

A total of 60 pupils from across Southend took part in the year 5 & 6 Southend Aquathlon on Thursday 17th May at the Eastwood Academy. The competition was fierce as the athletes swam 6 lengths of the pool followed by 2.5 laps of the World Class Mondo Athletics Track.

The Girls competition was won by Mae Phillips who's total competition time (swim+run) came in at 5:47, with the boys competition won by Ben Thirwell in a total time of 5:16.

Well done to all that took part and to all staff that ensured the event smoothly!
