Thursday saw the SPSSA Torch Relay depart St Marys after a great whole-school send off and make it's way to Bournemouth Park School. Upon it's arrival the torchbearers were given huge applause as they ran a lap of their school playground, parading the torch. Before long, torchbearers from Porters Grange had arrived to carry the torch in it's next leg of the relay back to their school where there was an excitable crowd awaiting their return.
The final relay leg of the day was also the shortest, covering the short distance between Porters Grange and Sacred Heart School where it was given a great reception by pupils and staff.
