SPSSA TORCH RELAY Day 9 Monday 9th July

Day 9 of the SPSSA Torch Relay started with a handover from Sacred Heart to torchbearers from Thorpe Greenways who were then greeted by the whole school upon their arrival. After being shown around school, the torch was then handed over to pupils from Hamstel School who did a brilliant job on their leg as they had the challenge of running up Lifstans Way! They were rewarded for the efforts by a great reception at their school where all of their pupils were waiting for the torch to arrive.

Soon it was time for the final leg of the day which would see torchbearers from Temple Sutton carry the torch from Hamstel back to their school where a great reception was put on by teachers and pupils. This leg of the relay was made extra special as Mr Harrison of Temple Sutton was given the honour of carrying a real Olympic 2012 Torch in front of the school!
