Year 5&6 Tag Rugby Competition

Thursday 15th November saw the Year 5&6 Southend Primary Schools Tag Rugby Competition take place at Southend Rugby Club with a grand total of 19 teams taking part!

All participating schools displayed fantastic Tag Rugby skills and some teams were unrecognisable from last year. Praise must go to all the teachers and staff who have worked hard with their children this year and to those new teams who entered the competition for the first time, we hope you enjoyed it!

Congratulations to all schools that took part in the competition. We must give a big thank you to Southend Rugby club for allowing us to us their facilities and DE photos who were present snapping away. The club also provided us with their refs who are an important part to School club links in Southend and I am thankful for your encouragement during the day to them.

The top three teams were:

1st - West Leigh

2nd - Bournes Green

3rd -Alleyn Court

We have the positions for all 19 schools if you would like to know this please contact us.

The top two teams West Leigh & Bournes Green will go on to represent Southend at the Spring Games next March in Southend.
