Tuesday 19th March saw the last friendly cross country match held for this school year at Edwards Hall Primary School with record numbers in attendance! Pupils from 8 local primary schools were able to compete against each other in what was perfect cross country conditions, muddy underfoot but sun in the sky, over a 1km course for years 3&4 and a 1.6km course for years 5&6.
It was great to see so many schools supporting the event which has been very well received by those that have taken part. Those schools that competed yesterday were:
Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Primary School
Prince Avenue Primary School
Edwards Hall Primary School
Leigh North Street Junior School
Westborough Primary School
Saint Pierre School
St Michaels School
Heycroft Primary School
A big thank you must go to Mr Jellett of Edwards Hall School for hosting yesterday's event and helping to clear the field at the end of the competion along with Mr Able of Our Lady of Lourdes.
We hope to run this event again after half term so if you wish to put your school forward to run or host one of the races please contact myself by emailing [email protected]
Thank you,
Adam
