Sidney Dorn Table Tennis Exhibition Match

Eastwood Academy Table Tennis Star Sid Dorn 9B, was invited back to his old Junior School to play an Exhibition match in front of over 300 students. He took with him his coach Jason Clarke and Essex Junior coach Stuart Gibbs, to the Earls Hall Junior school in Carlton Ave, Westcliff. Sid and his coach went through a warm up routine showing how the forehand and backhand should be played, with machine like precision,  the students gasped as many have never seen table tennis properly with such speed and accuracy. The Earls Hall School is one of only a few local Junior schools who run an school Table Tennis competition where over 150 pupils take part.

Sid played a 3 game match against his coach, showing many great touches and lovely flowing rallies, the students got well into the match cheering Sid's name, as the two players treated them to great back from the table play including smashes and smart backhands.

After the match Stuart Gibbs confirmed that the Earls Hall School was allowing much needed junior table tennis coaching lessons at the school, something which the students of the junior school would benefit greatly from.
