The third Southend West SSP Friendly Cross Country took place on Tuesday at Edwards Hall School in perfect conditions - chilly and muddy underfoot!
Children in years 3 to 6 from across the Borough of Southend to take part in the FREE event, designed to help them increase their confidence and improve their fitness.
The SWSSP would like to thank our hares, Alex Thornton of Barons Court and Felicity Galbally who attends The Eastwood Academy, who did a superb job of leading our young athletes around the course. We'd also like to thank Edwards Hall Primary School for hosting the event.
The next Friendly Cross Country race will take place Tuesday 10th December at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Primary School, Manchester Drive, Leigh on Sea, SS9 3HS where the first race of Year 3 boys and girls will set off at 3:45pm.

Southend HAF scheme for the Winter holidays 21 December -30 December 2022. If your child reicieves a free school meal they are entitiled to attend a HAF programme for FREE during the winter holidays.
