Well done to all schools that competed in the Essex KS2 Cross Country at Southend Rugby Club today. The rugby club did us proud with their excellent facilities and delicious bacon rolls.
We were delighted to see so many young people running with such determination and commitment to succeed. The Southend West Schools Sports Partnership were amazed at the camaraderie between everyone. It was lovely to see so many children supporting one another.
There were some exceptional performances despite the bitter cold and chilling winds. Individual and team winners came from across the county.
