KS2 Cross Country

On a windy afternoon at Westcliff Rugby Club, a number of pupils in KS2 in the Southend West SSP were blown along a tough cross country course. Nine schools were represented, with four of those schools qualifying for the Essex Finals in various year-groups. Twenty Four medals were won and certificates were well-earned by all of the competitors in the field.

They were some tenacious runners whose determination was portrayed all the way until the finish line. Some races showed clear winners while others were left to the final 100m’s.

All results can be found below. The photos from the day will be on the DE Photos website http://www.dephoto.biz/. A big thank you to Steve and his team from DE Photos who support our events and the Westcliff Rugby Club for allowing us to use their facilities.

Finally, thanks to the huge support that the pupils received from family and friends and thank you to the Eastwood Students for marshalling this event without them or the team from the Southend West Sport Partnership this event would not be able to take place. Special thanks to Tracy Bennett the competition manager who was ever present collating all the results.
