Archers aiming higher

The Archery Sport Unlimited bid saw a new sport introduced across the partnership. The club offered services to three primary schools within the partnership and was requested within the Catholic schools to provide a feeder towards the club run at St Bernard’s and St Thomas More.

St Helen's, Our Lady of Lourdes and St Teresa's had John Wilson; Archery GB coach visit them on a weekly basis in the Autumn term to deliver Archery sessions and work towards the November Challenge.

The November Challenge is run by the Junior committee at Archery GB, the students shoot a round and send their best scores in. Some of the categories were split by age and gender. Out three schools did very well with St Helen's, Eli Jennings and Leah Bond finishing fourth in their categories out of fifty five competitors.

The SWSSP would like to congratulate all that took part in this competition and to John Wilson for leading this project.
