GB Sprinter visits Eastwood

Jeanette Kwakye (GB Sprinter and Olympic finalist) came to visit the Year 10 Girls at The Eastwood School yesterday. Jeanette who was the first woman in 24 years to make an Olympic 100m Final in Bejiing discussed the Six Stages to success with the girls.

This is all part of the Sky Sports Living Campaign http://livingforsport.skysports.com/.

This was organised by the Southend West Sports Partnership and runs alongside the leadership programme at the School. It was an amazing morning with Jeanette inspiring the girls followed by a practical session. Jeanette finished with a tour of the sports facilities including the track which she fully supported and thinks it’s a fantastic project.
