Wenlock visits Southend
Wenlock the Olympic Mascot paid a visit to Heycroft School yesterday for their annual Sports day. Arty pupils from the school won a competition to design a mascot for London 2012. Heycroft Primary school were among 23 finalists in the regional competition.
The KS1 winners were the Red team followed closely by the green team, then followed yellow and blue. In the afternoon saw the green team win, red was second with yellow third and blue forth.
This event concluded a fantastic year of Sport for Heycroft and we hope you will continue to build on your successes next year.
