Yesterday saw the first of the football tournaments begin with the year 5 and 6 boys kicking off the season!
The sun was shining and all teams were in high spirits.
19 teams attended the event and the standard of skill and play was at its highest.
The final saw Chalkwell Hall and West Leigh battling it out but it was West Leigh who took the Borough title with a 1-0 win in the final.
Bournes Green won the third / fourth play off against the spirited Temple Sutton.
A big thankyou to Alleyn Court Preparatort school for hosting the event, Southend United Community Team for providing referees and medals and the Southend School Sports Partnerships for their organisation of the event.
