The Southend West Sports Partnership provides services for thirty two schools within the Southend Borough.
The Southend West Partnership is the local authority CPD provider who offer courses and training to staff and is the hub to the Southend region and is based at The Eastwood Academy.
The Sports partnership work closely with Southend East who work together to develop PE and sport opportunities for all young people. We develop links with National Governing Bodies, clubs and within the local community to offer as many sporting opportunities for our young people as possible.
All Schools follow the School Games programme, a competition framework that includes: Intra School level one, Inter School level two, County level three and National competition level four.
In response to Covid:
During this time of uncertainty with Covid 19 we have suspended all face to face events but are working together with our schools to make sure children stay healthy and happy both mentally and physically.
As we may not be able to attend big sporting events for a while it’s time to get creative which is why, along with other SGO's in Essex, we have created a series of virtual competitions that all schools can get involved in.
