SPSSA TORCH RELAY Day 4 Thursday 28th June

The first leg of Day 4 of the SPSSA Torch Relay started at College St Pierre where the torch was handed over to torchbearers from Our Lady of Lourdes who were greeted by pupils, parents and staff upon their arrival back at their school where they were holding their sports day.

The next leg saw pupils from nearby Darlinghurst carry the torch to their school where they welcomed by cheering pupils and staff.

Westcliff High School For Girls were the next recipients of the SPSSA Olympic Torch, being cheered by passing motorists on their short journey to their school. Once the torch arrived within the premises the three torchbearers ran a lap of their field in front of a flag-waving, excitable pupils before torchbearers from Blenheim arrived to run the final leg of the day.

Blenheim torchbearers ran an excellent final leg of the torch relay which saw them enter their school sports day to the Olympic theme and huge applause from parents and fellow pupils.
