Time: Morning Session - 9:30 Register 10:00 start – 12:00 finish
Afternoon Session - 12:30 register, 1:00pm Start, 3:00pm finish
Participation: Maximum of 10 schools each session
Maximum 2 riders from each school in each race
The Races:
Each school to provide 2 riders per race. There will be 2 races for each year – 1 boys race and 1 girls race. In total there will be 8 races. There will be medals for the first 3 in each race and certificates for all attending. These will be emailed to each school. Each rider’s position will be recorded and the school with the overall lowest score will win the Trophy.
The Course:
Riding around Priory Park on grass, closed road, over bridges – mainly off road cycling. The course will be clearly marked and marshalled. You are required to bring at least 1 marshal with you, though parents can line the course and also act as marshals.
General Information
There is a large car park at Priory Park. There are toilets on site and there is a café in the park (whether it will be open I will have to confirm). As with all events each school is responsible for managing their own pupils’ behaviour, etc. Each school will have their own pen and bikes will be placed in each schools holding area, only collected by the children just prior to their race. Children will not be allowed to ride around between races.
Some bicycle will be available for use on the day.

Southend HAF scheme for the Winter holidays 21 December -30 December 2022. If your child reicieves a free school meal they are entitiled to attend a HAF programme for FREE during the winter holidays.
